THE CANDY ROOM

Wouldn’t it be incredible to work in environmental graphics? Combining the best of some incredible creative worlds – graphic design, interior design, industrial design, landscape architecture. This is just one example that makes my toes curl up in delight.

The Candy Room is the lovely new shop by Sweet Enough in Melbourne’s CBD. Designed by the clever kids at RED Design Group, the simple line artwork on the white walls makes me think of playing with a cardboard box as a kid. It wasn’t a boring old bit of rubbish, it was a dollhouse. A rocket ship. A doctor’s surgery. It’s not just the lollies that would make you feel like a kid when walking into The Candy Room – it would be the whole fantasy, a few black lines pulling a space together to be something so much more than four walls and a ceiling.
