Although I still shiver getting into bed at night, spring is coming. I can see it in those beautiful wine-purple magnolias, suddenly aflame against clear blue skies. The little pink buds of jasmine have suddenly appeared on the tangle of green clambering up my fence. And I have an itching feeling in my bones, to make plans, clear my head, start afresh.
When spring is in full force I’d like to take whatever blossoms I can find and drape them around the house. I’m sure my posies will be nothing nearly as beautiful as Amy Merrick‘s incredible arrangements, but I’m inspired by how she mixes size and shape and texture. And practice will make perfect.
