Just something little for you lovelies today, courtesy of Marta Altés. Try to look at your world a little differently today. One man’s trash is another (wo)man’s adorable multimedia illustration.

I am head over heels for these quirky images from Christopher Boffoli. His playful treatment of scale is just so much fun, and his meticulously detailed characters are just perfect. He has funny little captions to go with the images – click through to Big Appetites to check them out.

I’ve never been the one doing the leaving. I’m always the one left behind. But today I’m heading to the airport to begin a two-month adventure, tootling around Europe with a backpack and my SLR. The longest I’ve been away from home is three weeks. And never alone. This is big for me. It’s really scary. But I’m going to see some beautiful things, get inspired by amazing people, and get gloriously fat with delicious Christmas gingerbread. And I hope I can share some of the things I’ve seen with you when I get back home.

There’ll be a few posts coming up while I’m gone, but other than that things will be pretty quiet around these parts. I’ll be back in January with lots of things to share.

Thanks for reading.

Currently crushing on Ann Shen‘s Bad Girls Throughout History postcard set. Her illustrations of the lovely ladies are just wonderful, but what really sets my heart racing is that brush-stroke typography. Oh la la!
